In accordance with the American Academy of Neurology guidelines, PHC is a non-narcotic headache center. Research shows that regular use of narcotics more than doubles your risk for developing chronic headaches. PHC will not accept any patients who are currently taking narcotics for the management of head pain. A patient must be narcotic free for two months before being referred to PHC.
